Sales and Marketing Manager

Job Description :

Business Development:

  • Identify new business opportunities in the electroplating chemicals market.
  • Build long-term relationships with potential clients and existing customers.
  • Analyze market trends and estimate customer demand to develop effective sales strategies.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs and preferences.
  • Conducting market research for new clients and obtaining feedback from clients to improve existing products.
  • Develop and manage yearly and quarterly marketing plans and budgets
  • Manage the sales and marketing budget efficiently, ensuring maximum return on investment
  • Track expenses and report on budget performance regularly
  • Provide timely and accurate information to potential buyers, addressing inquiries and concerns

Sales and Marketing:

  • Plan and execute effective sales and marketing strategies to promote electroplating chemicals products.
  • Manage the sales cycle from prospecting to closure, including price negotiation and quotations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and business partners.
  • Monitor and report sales performance regularly.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions on pricing and positioning

Project Management:

  • Project management for contract execution and customer orders.
  • Coordinate with warehouse & lab departments to ensure timely delivery and quality products that meet standards.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Collect and analyze sales data to create reports on sales performance and sales projections.
  • Provide recommendations to improve the effectiveness of sales and marketing strategies.

Lead Management & Client Pitching

  • Build the client database and identify key contracts
  • Engage prospects through multiple channels to generate new sales leads
  • Regularly attend industry events, network and build industry relationships
  • Organize and make sales activities
  • Produce detailed proposals and presentation materials for client
  • Carry out sales activities of the company's products to prospective customers
  • Conduct visits to prospective customers
  • Achieve sales targets set by the company
  • Participate in training/seminars provided by the company
  • To maintain client relationships by providing support and information.
  • Ensure prompt response to enquiries/or resolution to customer complaints
  • Proactively maintain and enhance relationship with clients
  • Assist in meeting sales targets for the sales team

Leadership

  • Lead and motivate the sales and marketing team to achieve individual and collective goals
  • Provide guidance and training to enhance team performance
  • Contribute insights to the development process especially in chemical industry


 

Requirements : 

  • Bachelor's degree (S1) in a relevant field such as Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business Management, Marketing or related field.
  • Max. 40 years old
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales and marketing in the chemical or manufacturing industry, particularly in the electroplating field, would be advantageous.
  • A strong business development background in developing chemical industry especially in electroplating
  • Proven successful marketing plan development and implementation skills are essential
  • Ability to develop and articulate strategy, able to drive translation of strategy into successful tactics and execution
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and develop effective sales and marketing strategies
  • Attention for detail, highly organized and multi-tasking to handle several campaigns and timelines simultaneously
  • Strong negotiation skills and effective budget management capability and accountability
  • Strong project management skills with ability to recognise, adapt and respond to changing market and business environments
  • Possess strong sense of accountability, ownership, adaptability, initiative and execution
  • Preferably experienced in chemical manufacturing or electroplating
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and guide a sales and marketing team
  • Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and building lasting relationships
  • Ability to analyse market trends, data, and consumer behaviour to make informed decisions
  • Willing to travel or be based in Sunter
